Basha Taste of Jerusalem

I wanted to try authentic, traditional Palestinian food to show my solidarity with their people's struggle for freedom. I was visiting my sister in Sacramento, and she recommended Basha Taste of Jerusalem. They start you off with complimentary fresh baked flat bread and olive oil which tasted divine! We ordered the "Mansaf" lamb and chicken dish, and the "Maqluba" upside-down chicken and rice dish. It was absolutely phenomenal! The portions are very generous and we had lots of left overs to-go that tasted just as great the next day. I loved the interior décor and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town to try more dishes that are not common at generic "Middle Eastern / Mediterranean" restaurants.

My wife and I had lunch here today. It was delicious. The service was A+ and we will definitely go back again as soon as we are in Sacramento.

I have dined here many times and each time it has been amazing. The food is delicious, the ambiance is calming, and the staff are kind and courteous.

I ordered Mansaf and my friend ordered a shawarma plate. Both were excellent. They also gave us bread, olives, oil and zaatar, hummus and salad free. I give them 5 stars for authenticity and taste.
