Amazing Pina Colada's

We came only for the Pina colatas since they boast they are the creators of the Pina colata. They did NOT disappoint. It was definitely delicious. We had to go back towards closing time as they were not able to seat us earlier in the evening. So be prepared to have a long wait!

Was looking forward to getting a Pina Colada from the famous Barrachina in Old San Juan and I definitely didn't leave disappointed. As a disclaimer, I did only come here to try the Pina Colada at the bar, but I still had a fabulous experience: the drink was super delicious, every employee was super kind, and the spot has a great ambiance to it. Definitely looking forward to returning and trying out other things off their menu next time I'm in San Juan. Highly recommend and their Pina Colada definitely lives up to the hype.

Mahi mahi and salmon was very dry. However the whole red snapper was delicious.

Best pina colada EVER!

Hit this place in the early afternoon of a Monday to attempt to avoid the busy period, still ended up waiting for 25/30 minutes for a drink. Only one lady serving behind the bar, way understaffed for the amount of people queuing for one type of drink to go, 'the Pinacolada'. (We saw at least a dozen people leave the queue which isn't the best way to run a business!!). I managed to get us a barstool at the bar which got us served a little quicker. As for the drink, yes, very tasty and remarkabley cheap considering - $10 a go. But due to the amount of iced pineapple mixer being required it was premade in huge containers, all the bar person did was add a shot of Don Q rum and a fruit loaded cocktail umbrella. (Quite surprised to see them use Don Q and not Bacardi which is made just across the harbour, I'm sure Bacardi was used originally!).
