Well, I have made several attempt to use Barnes and Nobel for purchases simply to support a local business in my city. The are about 40%-100% more expensive than Amazon for most books. I called the company, called the local store and went to the local store, to ask if I can buy the item from them with a price match to what I can get at Amazon, and their answer was "No." How can anyone justify paying that much more for the same items? I don't understand the business model, or how they will remain in business for much longer. Everyone should consider using up their gift cards soon, because they cannot sustain this practice for too long.
