5 out of 5. Every time. Today I ordered a Loaded Kettle Chip Nacho. First I'd like to point out the excellent customer service. The young man who took my order was EXTREMELY polite and was very helpful and patient when helping me decide what to order. Needless to say, the food was outstanding and I would definitely come again.

Bark and barrel is very rude and I would suggest that no one works for them. The owners don’t care about shit, they pay way under the pay minimum but expect u to go above and beyond. U work for someone long enough and they’ll show u there true colors. Run n tell that.

Brisket pretty good, sausage good, pork and chicken were dry, bread was meh, beans were meh, coleslaw was subpar, potato salad was meh, bbq sauce was worse than store bought, water was not the best, overall flavor was missing, very fatty brisket, was disappointed.

Based on my excellent experiences at Earth and Stone Pizza, I took Lisa's advice to try the brisket here. I was not disappointed. The brisket was perfect and the Smokey BBQ sauce had just the right combination of smoke with sweet and heat. It was nice to meet the owner (who appeared to be very hands-on in his business). I definitely recommend Bark & Barrel. Truly 5 stars for both the food and the people. I'll be trying Parm & Pepper next!

A somewhat shaky 4 star, but a 4 star nonetheless, as I would return here again of my own volition (3 stars I would go again, but only if a friend asked / it was their pick).  Been wanting to try Bark and Barrel ever since they opened up as Clyde's out in Madison.  That's too much of a drive for me 9 times out of 10, so it's been on the back burner until now.  They've opened up a location at Stovehouse, which is much more doable.  I figured I'd get some to carry home for lunch today.Like all vendors at Stovehouse, the "restaurant" is really mostly just a counter where you can order.  Some vendors have a couple of barstools and counters to eat at inside; Bark and Barrel does not.  Don't worry, there's plenty of seating outdoors, or to the left of the restaurant as you exit is an indoor space to eat if it's too hot, cold, or rainy.  The interior ordering space was clean and the menu is on a TV to your left as you walk in.The service was really lovely.  The man taking my order was friendly and polite, the woman who brought it out to me was SUPER kind and apologetic about my wait time (which was not bad at ALL and not even close to warranting an apology), and an older gentleman who seemed to have some authority (manager maybe?  Who knows) spoke cheerfully to me as he slipped by to take something to someone else.  The service was one of the deciding factors in me giving a 4.I ordered two plates:  two pulled pork plates, one with smoked macaroni and cheese (an upcharge) and kettle chips, and another with potato salad and kettle chips.  Both plates came with a slice of white bread cut in halves.  I also got two smoked chocolate chip cookies to try.  I wanted to order ribs on one of the plates, but they do not currently have ribs at this location.  I don't know how long it'll be till they remedy that, and I don't know why their menu offers them, but for now, they're a non-option.  They also only had smoked chocolate chip cookies today; I didn't ask if they normally have the peanut butter, though, or if they had just run out today only.  Our meals were about $25, no drinks included.  A little high, but it is Stovehouse and I did get dessert.  The food smelled delicious on the ride back and was still warm when I unpacked it.  Unfortunately, one order was messed up.  We were given baked beans instead of potato salad on one plate.  Luckily boyfriend likes baked beans, so not a huge deal, but it's always preferable to get what one has ordered.  Here's our breakdown:Pulled pork:  quite solid!  Chopped in fairly large pieces (not stringy), very tender and a decent smoke flavor.  Perhaps a liiiiiitle fatty for my preference, but I'm picky there.  Went well with the soft white bread.Sauce:  we got the regular red sauce.  It was sweet, but not particularly sweet, and a tiny tiny tiny bit spicy.  We both liked it!  Baked beans:  not sweet at all like many baked beans.  I actually kind of liked them (I typically don't); they have a very smoky, savory flavor to them.  Boyfriend liked them at first but said they were ultimately too overwhelmingly smoky and it was too much to eat more than a couple of bites.Smoked macaroni and cheese:  don't know that I got much of a smoke flavor, but this is still a very flavorful dish.  Multiple cheese flavors, a good dash of pepper, and soft penne noodles.  Very rich and tasty.Kettle chips:  yummy!  A little hard on the teeth due to how crunchy they are, but overall tasty and a good serving size.  We both agreed that the loaded kettle chips would probably be very good.Lastly, the smoked chocolate chip cookies:  we couldn't decide how we felt about them.  I definitely liked them more than boyfriend.  We agreed that they were a touch *too* smoky, but I find the concept very interesting and think they could be phenomenal with a slightly lighter touch.  Heavy smoke flavor aside, it was a delicious cookie:  perfect amount of chocolate chips, large size, slightly crispy edges with a gooey center, and a bit of salt flecked throughout.Overall, Bark and Barrel is another solid option added to Stovehouse's repertoire.  I don't know that it'll be my choice every time I'm there with friends, but it will definitely be my choice again at some point.

After waiting in line for 10 minutes to get loaded nachos  they informed me they were out of pork and would not substitute another meat but would charge me more. First experience here was a bad one!
