Salmon was dry and steak overdone. Definitely not worth the price.

Visited for the restaurant week. Great entrée, so-so appetizer and dessert. They also forgot to garnish the dessert of one of us. Slow service, nothing special to justify the high prices and definitely not visiting again.

Bar David was an exceptional choice to kick off Chicago Restaurant Week!! Every offering of our 4 Course menu was deliciously prepared with fine dining finesse! The entrée's temperature should have been much warmer than they were but once you took a bite, there was no turning back! LOL Kudos to the management for the well-trained and personably friendly waite staff!!! All in all for me, Bar David is a hidden gem‼️

Food was really good, if under portioned. Service was excellent.

Used to come to this place frequently for breakfast. It is sort of a hidden gem unless you know it is there, but there is no real signage to say it is there and really blends in with the building. However, as another quarter begins and I stepped in yesterday for breakfast I found the restaurant to be empty and the security informed me that the restaurant isn’t open because they don’t sell breakfast anymore. This is unfortunate because south of the midway there are few options for food and the few options for students at the law school and Harris school are not adequate as they are understaffed and out of food. There is also a restaurant at the hotel next to BARDAVID but their food is too pricey for the quality and their breakfast options aren’t as good. I understand why BARDAVID stopped serving breakfast but I think advertising along the midway could be better some sort of signage. Now the only viable option in my opinion for students is the dining hall but for graduate students it is Logan Cafe as most graduate students don’t have a meal plan and we don’t typically eat at the dining halls. Otherwise the staff was always welcoming and friendly at 8am.

Nice place, cool decor and vibe. Burger and fries were pretty solid but service was almost nonexistent and I’m pretty forgiving.

I got the Rigatoni and it is the best I’ve ever had. Loved it. The strawberry mocktail was also good.
