The best late night happy hour in town. The spaghetti and meatballs and buratta is incredible. Pizza is a must. *chefs kiss*
A fantastic place to eat with friends. The menu is very extensive and the dishes are very well served. The food has a delicious seasoning that makes you want to try everything. There is happy hour on certain drinks. Parking is very limited so you have to look for space on the street.
Rude waitress. Nice atmosphere. Food was okay. Went with no wait time, felt the waitress was not attentive and very dismissive when asking questions. Went back for a lost item, and she dismissed me asking about it. Another waitress helped me quickly find my item. Nice atmosphere, needs better customer service.
This is my favorite pizza place to go to in San Antonio. The price is fair and the food quality is amazing. They got a great selection of beers and appetizers. The pizza has great flavor and is always cooked perfectly.
Great food, service, and drinks! Despite being fairly busy we never felt as if we were overlooked. Glasses were always full, food was fresh and prompt
Such a good place. We were looking for food on Sunday night. And we got ordered. Pizza. Salad. Cheese board. Drinks. Garlic knots. Chicken parmesan
I went into Barbaro with my husband at 6:30pm yesterday evening and the host made me feel terrible. It was not busy and the host was hugging and smiling with a group of guests for a while before noticing us. When he was done, he asked us for how many (2) and if a high top table was okay. I am 8 months pregnant, and very visibly 8 months pregnant, I told him I would prefer not since I am pregnant. He then said it would be 25-30 minutes. There were a number of tables available. I said that was a long time, and my husband and I left. I immediately felt as if we were not worthy enough for this host to be seated, and I would not humor this pompous host with my time after expressing a physical need to him. Unfortunate, since we just moved into the neighborhood, this will not be a go to spot for us.
Decided to try a pizza to go. I knew as soon as she handed me the box, I was going to be disappointed. This Sicilian pizza not only filled less than half the box, the crust is mostly air. Especially the crust that is not burnt to a crisp. It looks fancy, but that's the only good thing about it. Nearly zero flavor. And obviously didn't hold heat at all because it's so light on density.. Neat looking place though. I don't recommend it, because my perceived value would be like $7 instead of the $33 that I paid.
We absolutely love this place! They have an awesome gluten-free pizza and fantastic cocktails. We love the vibe and whatever music they're playing. I highly recommend the chopped white bean salad. Drinks can arrive a little slow. It looks like they've added new staff, and last time we were there we weren't as impressed with the service. I definitely recommend reservations when possible. Overall, it's one of our favorite spots in the city.
