Bar Shiru

Pros: Best ambiance of any bar in Oakland or maybe The Bay. Amazing vinyl collection & always good music playing here at any given time. A fantastic experience literally every time you come here. Perfect place for a first date, or to bring out of town friends that you wanna impress. Cons: The cocktail menu is not me or my fiancés fave. But: it doesn’t matter, order any of your regular drinks here because their liquor selections is superb & the bartenders know what’s up.

Loved the vibe. Intimate setting, good music. Wasn’t a huge fan of my cocktail but I would still go back just because I loved the atmosphere so much. Great place to have an actual conversation. It’s the kind of place I wouldn’t mind going to on my own too.

Such a great little bar downtown. It's moody, cozy, intimate and serves great reasonably priced cocktails ($12-$15). Has a large selection of whiskey and spins great records (jazz/funk). Love this place and the staff are always so nice!

Excellent offering of classic spirit forward cocktails. You can choose from a variety of delicious drinks including the velvet mood! It is a stellar version of an aviation and I highly recommend. The music is absolutely incredible you will find a stunning wall of records which they play beautifully through the restaurant. Come and experience this gem as soon as you can you will not be disappointed.
