Bar Goyana

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC and the best Brazilian restaurant you can find in NY! It’s beautifully decorated, the cocktails are incredible, the food is absolutely delicious and the service friendly and efficient. I love going there, it’s a place with great energy! I know for sure I will always have a good time, eat and drink well. They sometimes do street parties like festa junina, roda de samba, and they are super fun! I am Brazilian myself and this is the only place I’ve been that I feel like I’m eating my mom’s food. Every dish and cocktail comes with a flower, they’re always nicely decorated, you can tell everything is made with love, and the price is incredible for a NYC restaurant. Just go there and see for yourself ! You’ll feel like you are a part of the family and become a regular, like I did. I highly recommend it!

Food - I had been craving feijoada and was very excited to find a restaurant near my home. We had shrimp and cassava, feiijoda , empanadas and prosciutto pao de Queijo. The food we will give 3 stars. Feijoda was very watery, nothing but 4 pieces of sausage and I think a small piece of pork. Definitely not the rich and filling feijoda I as craving. Empanada had a lot of filling, but each of our beef empanadas was different. One was very oily, over fried, another was in between and other was good. The pao de Queijo was ok, again inconsistent, some had little cheese , others more. The shrimp was good, but not memorable. services gets 4 stars, server was only one and here and overworked. Good environment for getting drinks with friends.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience when we went for their prix fixe menu during NYC Restaurant Week. The food was AMAZING, and the restaurant's interior was picture perfect. The art on the walls and the greenery is very immersive. Everyone who worked there seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.
