Best Açaí bowls in Newport area. Fruit is fresh and the Açaí puree has great flavor.

Healthy and fresh food. Our orders were quick and easy. Nice and clean place. We had a Banzai Bowl large and a Dakine Bowl large. Both were super delicious.

Asked for an original acai bowl which they didn't have. So asked for whar they have. They blend the acai berry purree with milk or juice no other option. So I asked for mine with no milk or juice and they said they have to blend it with one or the other in order to be able to blend the acai berry purre. So I said then i asked for the guava juice option and asked to just add a little. So they hand me down my bowl and I go very happy. To my disappointment I get in my car and go my way had a spoonfull my bowl and it tastes like chocolate. Nothing like acai berry purree or at least guava juice. .... the traffic very bad no where to park because the beach was at full capacity and decided to just buy my favorite bowl to refresh my way back home. 15 bucks to the trash and a very bad service for not seving what i asked for and plus watering down acai purree with juices or milks. I went to this place because a year ago I came to the beach and purchase one and was the original acai bowl very delicious. But this was not the place now that I did my research. It was the one down the street from this one. If you want the authentic acai bowl with the orginal acai purree ice cream like don't come here go to the other one down the street. Its called TRU Bowl Superfood.

Banzai Bowls has been a favorite of our family every year we visit Newport Beach. Simply the best acai bowls anywhere! Also the small size is totally filling and the price for what you get is not bad either!

Sadly I had a horrible experience with the so called manger named Ben who in my opinion did not act like a manager. I had ordered a smoothie and when I told him That this smoothie has strawberries and bananas added to the smoothie. Ben then acted extremely unprofessional as he walked away with an eye roll and huffed and puffed as he brought back strawberries snd bananas with his bare hands. Not only does he need coaching on how to interact with customers but he must have failed the food handler course that all employees need to take when handling food. I think I might need to call the health department next.

Tucked down a side street in Newport Beach is a place I thought could only be found in Hawaii: Bonzai Bowls. I was happy to be proven wrong. Bonzai Bowl is the best acai bowl place I have ever eaten at and Newport Beach is a clone of the Hawaii location. The service is great. The staff was very friendly and did their best to help guide us with our selections. We chose the Maui Sunrise and Da Kine bowls. We added peanut butter to our bowls. If you're a fan of peanut butter I would encourage you to do this as it enhances the flavor of the bowl. The Maui Sunrise bowl is acai, granola, honey, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. It was delicious. The Da Kine has chocolate in it (my wife ordered it) and lots of other stuff. It was delicious as well. Pricing is average. You'll spend around $13 per bowl and they fill you up (trust me). We'll definitely return to Bonzai Bowl the next time we're in Newport Beach. Kid-friendliness: It is very kid friendly.
