There are three things I absolutely love: good coffee, healthy food, and exploring new places. Recently, I discovered an all-day cafe with a worker-owner model, and they've just opened their third location in Murray Hill. I tried their mushrooms with feta on toast along with a latte, and it was absolutely delicious! The addition of seeds and grains gave it an extra texture that I enjoyed. The service was incredibly quick, and I snagged a lovely seat outside for some people watching. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
Good food but service was haphazard... We Health with 3 different servers in a tiny place (?)
Young and health vibe brunch place. It's kind of pricey but okay with the portion size. Also the coffee taste very acidic and burnt. I ordered cappuccino and defintely not foamy enough.
Just had the mushrooms with feta on toast, which was absolutely delicious! I liked the addition of seeds and grains for an added texture. Service was super quick and I had a lovely seat outside for people watching. Great experience!
Delicious Nutella French toast! Great for brunch, lots of options
My visit to Banter was a pleasant experience. The server was very friendly and attentive. However, when it came to the food, there were a few aspects that could be improved. We ordered the falafel bowl and the mushroom toast. The falafel bowl consisted of a medley of vegetables, sauces, and falafel. While the concept was promising, the falafel’s texture was a bit too soft, which affected the overall flavor negatively. On the other hand, the mushroom toast was somewhat better in my opinion. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, and the addition of feta cheese complemented the taste quite nicely. However, the addition of sunflower seeds was a bit puzzling, and there was also an excessive amount of lemon juice, which overwhelmed the dish. Additionally, the toast was slightly overtoasted. In summary, the dishes at Banter had potential, but they seemed to lack some finishing touches that could have elevated the dining experience.
