Great atmosphere, great food
Shrimp and grits fantastic! We had a big group and service was great. Only wish is that music wasn’t quite so loud. Made it really hard to have a conversation.
The food here is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is great - i love all the lights! - it seems most people come here to drink and socialize. They recently redid their website and seems like they got in new management. The worst thing about bantam is the slow service. Last Friday we went there, it was about 1 hour 20 minutes before our food was served - however, they had good service recovery and offered us some complimentary fries to snack on while we waited and a free beer. Cheers to that! My go-to is the Bantam Chicken sandwich- literally my favorite chicken sandwich from anywhere I’ve tried in atlanta. Their fries are also killer - super crunchy and flavorful! My husband got the Mac n cheese entree with fried chicken and he said it was superb!! Highly recommend the food here - just come expecting to wait awhile for your food. Don’t come here starving if you get hangry :) Edit: the last 3 times we have been here the service has been greatly improved! Dietary restrictions: They are fine substituting or leaving off items for dietary restrictions Parking: They have a small parking lot behind the building but it’s mostly neighborhood street parking. Just read the signs when you park, as one visit we watched 3 cars get towed (along Ralph McGill) for illegally parking.
I’ve been to this spot a couple times with family and friends and it’s your classic pub from vibes to food. I’d recommend a stop here for sure for burger, cocktails and taco lovers!
My favorite neighborhood bar/pub even though I do not live in the neighborhood! Good service, good prices and good food. A rarity in Atlanta these days.
Loved the atmosphere. Super friendly staff.
I forgot how much I love this place! Delicious reasonable priced food, and good craft beer selection. Staff is attentive and friendly. Definitely a locals hangout full of regulars. Highly recommend stopping by, as it's just off the beltline.
The indoor bar area is cozy but loud. Luckily there’s lots of great outdoor seating space. Caesar salad with salmon hit the spot.
I was with two friends and my spouse. I was accused of being a racist for speaking to my African American friends about life. I was told saying African American was profoundly rude. The bartender with the dark hair is overtly racist and rude. I would recommend staying clear if you have any morals.
