Kimchi fries are always on the order whenever I come here! The interior of the restaurant is not the biggest nor the cleanest so I usually just order to go. But the kimchi fries in my opinion is more filling than a banh mi for lunch - so either order just that or make it a combo with salad n drink. The fries is filled with many ingredients that was unexpected but still so good! Def a try!!
The Banh Mi's were good, very similar to the ones in Hanoi, Vietnam. Bread seemed to be a bit different, maybe less crunchy as the ones over there. Unfortunately they had just moved and we had to walk a bit further to find the new location. And the bathrooms weren't open yet :/
new location is upstairs next to five guy
This is still be the best deal for a meal around (and in) the Eaton Centre Let me qualify this review by saying if you loved this place before Covid and are coming back it is not quite as “good” as it used to be. Portions are smaller (buns and definitely less meat) but $11.50 for the grilled pork banh mi sandwich, fresh fries and a drink is still an unheard of deal for downtown these days The sandwich is still really good. The fries came hot and salty. Do I wish there was more meat. Yeah. But I left full and happy. The new place (where the old silver snail comic store was) is clean and while less character it’s still a great place to visit. The only thing that may be hard for some people are the stairs
Moved into a new bigger location on 329 Yonge Street, next to Five Guys
Always delicious, and loving the new location
The juiciest meat you ever did see
Super nice new location. My pork belly banh mi was very good with the fries combo…Cashier is also very pleasant.
