I first heard about this restaurant from a friend of mine who was practically bursting with excitement, saying that he has discovered a hidden gem a Chittagonian style Mejbani spot in Scarborough. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, especially after being disappointed by other so-called "good" Mejbani places. But his enthusiasm got to me, so I had to check it out for myself. When I arrived, it was quiet, probably because it was just after Iftar, and my friend had also told me that the diner had only recently opened. Anyways, I wasted no time and ordered the Mejbani Platter with plain rice, which cost me about $15. In complete honesty, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by what I tasted. It reminded me of the amazing mejbani I used to have at weddings in Bangladesh, which was full of flavour. In terms of service, it was good as well; we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was perfect because I'd been saving my appetite all day by only having some dates for Iftar. The servers and the owner were very hospitable, checking in on us and even treating us to some Bangladeshi-style chicken fries on the house, which were delicious. I'm definitely going back, and I'm bringing as many people as I can with me. This place truly is a hidden gem, and I can't wait to share it with everyone I know.
Labu bhai is the best, great keep it up
Foods are good and service is too. Our meals were cold which is the only complaint.
A great addition to the Bangladeshi restaurants scene in Scarborough. We had Ifter yesterday with friends. Good food, good host. Beef Haleem was the best. If you love Haleem, try it! Their Tehari recipe is a bit different than the traditional one, but we loved it.
Good food at affordable prices. Best for Chittagong dishes!
