Great food and sweet staff/owners.

The best and awesome exotic food!

My wife was really excited to show me this place and its food since she met the owner at a one of the Pop-up Saturday markets in Winter Haven. We drove the 1 hour and 30 minutes to come here to eat just to find the place completely close at 5 PM. Hours online both on google and their website says they close at 6-0630 PM There were no store hours listed on the front of the store or signs saying anything. I get it small business have things happen but being on top of your business hours specially when you’re marketing your restaurant far and wide can leave a lot of people mad and disappointed when they take the time out of their day to drive out to you. I’m leaving 2 stars for now and hope to get the chance to experience this restaurant next time I can be sure they will be open.

Well done, Banana Leaf! We lunched here today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Had cutlets, chicken pastry and veg roti for appetizers. Mutton Lamprais and traditional rice and curry (awesome mango curry!) for entrees. Finished with chocolate biscuit pudding and warm rum bread pudding (Super Yum!). All excellently done. Spice level was medium, meaning spicy, but not overly so. Staff provided service with a smile and Nilanga the owner himself came and chatted with us and helped us choose the food. Portions were generous. We ordered more Sri Lankan ‘shorteats’ to take back with us. What a delight! Please keep up the good work. We will be back!

Such a unique experience to try out a not very well known cuisine. These are the small pop and pop places that are worth every penny. They are sharing the food of an under represented group. The food was amongst the most flavorful I've had in a long time and was very well cooked. Be warned the food can be on the spicier side but nothing some yogurt / rice can't cool down. The chef and owner and his wife were very attentive and did a great job explaining the different dishes. The portions were more than ample and I found it to be a great value.

Amazing experience trying Sri Lankan food for the first time! Food portions were large, and were super fresh and tasted amazing, along with the wonderful service! Will be coming back again!

used to go there for home food. But this place was sealed by health department due to cockroaches. They put a notice. dirty place, not going there anymore

This was the best food and experience ever. You could taste the love he put into his food. He is so friendly. If you're not sure what to get, just let him suggest something for you. It's all good so you can't go wrong! Also, order dessert! It's delicious!
