Ban Thai & Sushi Restaurant

Tried eating there for the first time since we moved to Safety Harbor and it did not disappoint. Walking in the front door the restaurant was nicely decorated and had lovely music. We were immediately greeted and were told we could choose wherever we wanted to sit. We chose to sit in a cute little booth covered with a canopy of beautiful shiny gold material. The staff were super friendly and attentive. There was so much food to choose from! From sushi to Thai food it was hard to decide what to try first but we ended up choosing the pineapple fried rice and Panang Beef with a Florida Roll on the side. Amazing food!! They also had $5 glasses of wine for Happy Hour from 3-6p along with $5 Sake. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. They also do a busy take out service but I would recommend eating there for a great atmosphere.

I love this place. Such a unique atmosphere and the sushi rolls are large and delicious. I recommend the crunchy roll! The curry is amazing as well.

Can’t really comment on the food as they were so rude they ignored me for 5 mins before I left.

Great food and service at reasonable prices. Our large group had a wide variety of dishes and they were all well prepared, tasty and served hot. Spice levels can be adjusted to taste.

This place was my favorite place to come to have Thai food and had a craving for Thai food. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai and seafood tomorrow yum soup. I was so disappointed! They must have changed the chef or ownership. The flavor and quantity of the food just went downhill. The pad Thai has five small shrimp and the noodles were so dry. I could not enjoy it. The Tom yum was so salty and I couldn’t eat it. They have become a little more expensive for what you get. I used to look forward to coming to this place but I don’t think I will be coming back.

Beef and broccoli with the dumplings are my go to here, delicious every time. The staff are very friendly also.

I recently ate at Ban Thai for lunch. Shortly after I ate there, I sustained a severe stomach ache and diarrhea. I believe it was caused by the food. It was right after they first opened. When the food got to my table (I had cashew chicken), it was not hot. I believe the food served by Ban Thai was not thoroughly cooked and caused minor food poisoning. 2 + 2 equals 4. I did not go to the doctor or hospital and my sickness went away after about 4 hours. I have no allergies and a good digestive system. I will not go there again.
