Interesting how my previous review was deleted. What a let-down of a place. Was my first time coming here and it left a terrible impression. From the food, to the staff. People of NYC (and tourists) need to understand that there are tons of other restaurants, in the other boroughs, to go eat at outside of Manhattan (and I'm saying this as a Manhattan native) that will treat you better, have food that taste better, and are cheaper. I ordered the fries and a chicken entrée. Fries were soggy and tasted like cardboard. The chicken lacked flavor and seemed like the littlest piece of chicken from a bunch. Now, let's talk about the staff. I walked in during dinner hours and asked for a table for one. This was around 7:30 PM. The man (I guess the host?)standing at the front (accompanied by a women) lacked any type of professionalism towards me, was condescending, and stuck up. If you work in this field of work, then you should be providing your service at the same amount to all of your potential diners, and not pick and choose who you want to lower your professionalism for and give questionable dirty looks to. After about 30 seconds of me asking for a table for one, he decided to just walk away from me to go talk to some of his "people" (if you know, you know) without properly assisting me first. The woman who stands beside him was like a deer in headlights also. The place at the front is VERY small, btw. And people are bumping into each other - from walk-in potential diners coming in, to already existing diners walking out, from the waiters walking in and out to deliver meals - all in that small area that I'm waiting in to get assisted by this man. Place is very noisy. Oh yea, and one of the workers outside turned the heat lamp off that was right next to me as if I weren't going to notice, or maybe he wanted me to - which is even worse. I hadn't even received my meal longer than 20 minutes prior. Go elsewhere.

I do love this restaurant. However, I was a little disappointed this time. My fois Grau was actually a type of pate and pretty tasteless, and $30. Our waitress was wonderful! And they sang Happy Birthday to my daughter It also is very crowded space.

The most busiest of the McNally bros empire. Not sure if they’re still working together but these guys dominated the NYC restaurant scene forever. They had a spot in every neighborhood up and down manhattan. Some have closed but most are still open for business and are true landmarks in the city. Balthazar is the reigning champ by far. Most of their restaurants feel like a French bistro and they’re pioneers of pulling that off. They all have a patina and authentic feel. The only reason I gave it 4-stars instead of 5 is because it’s really busy there. You feel a little bit like your part of a herd, but they probably do well over $100k a day in sales so I can understand.

We love this place one of the best romantic restaurants in NYC for brunch. Great food Atmosphere. Get there early for Brunch during the week. The Weekends are super busy and it's difficlt to get in - make reservation a couple days/weeks before via website. For us the bar is the best spot (especially on weekends or if you have no reservation). Sitting at a Table is nice too try to get a corner table. It's a little expensive but you feel like you are in Paris. Really nice cocktails and bubbly too. ☕

I’ve never been to this restaurant, but I wanted to thank you for banning James Corden. He seems like an absolute knob. Kid-friendliness: We don’t need people like James Gordon spoiling the environment for the youth of the world
