Smallish eating area but yummy stuff, cut-throat parking for those own drive cars.
Have only had the Kouign Amann and double baked chocolate almond croissant and am in love with the Kouign Amann. The double baked one was not memorable in my opinion. I continue coming here every time I visit Seattle because they have the best Kouign amann which still tastes great the day after! Perfect amount of crisp, flakiness, gooeyness, and softness!
Excellent pastry! I took a box and had them daily for breakfast at my hotel. Also had a slice of pizz that was a great snack. Not a dine-in spot. Grab and go bakery. The star of the show for my associates and I was the twice-baked croissant. It's very rich and sweet, which paired well with my morning espresso and milk.
This bakery has long had the reputation of being one of Seattles best and I’ve been here countless times. During Covid the consistency and quality went a bit down but that was easily understandable given all that was going on. However, we are here now in 2024 and I’ve just found that there is no consistent quality to the baked goods anymore. One day you can get. Croissant which is fresh and fluffy and perfectly baked. The next day it’s hard, dry and crunchy. The last one was clearly over baked from the get go. Hard and stiff. Threw out half. Sometimes it may be baked correctly but seems stale or day old. Competitors do sell day old goods but they are clearly labeled as such. I’ve always assumed it was fresh here. Anyway nice people who work there and over all good quality probably 2 out of 3 times. You’d just think a premium bakery could get it right 9 out of 10 times or better. And since I frequently get the same thing it’s easy to track to quality variance
