Great brunch menu! However food was a long wait. Good for a leisurely brunch with friends but not a quick bite. Kid-friendliness: Many available high chairs. Has kids menu.
here's a picture of my croissant sandwich (missing several items I paid for)
If you like a slow mediocre food experience - this is your place!
I walked in and learned that the owner keeps all the credit card tips. When the workers asked customers to tip in cash so they could keep the tips, he fired them. Because they were so short staffed, they were out of pretty much everything. I ended up getting the avocado wrap, one of the few things they could make, and a cup cake. The wrap was very small and the lettuce was slimy and clearly had gone bad. The cupcake was pretty good, but when I finished I found a hair on the stick that was in the cupcake. Would not recommend.
Unless this location changes their policies, I would not recommend this location. The owner claims all tips and does not give any portion to the staff.
Nobody wants your pastries. Beyond idiotic decision to kill lunch service for a bustling lunch in a college neighborhood with few other options and an inexhaustible customer base. This was a reliable, real food lunch that I and many others would have been happy to pay a buck or two more for - you didn't even try the pricing lever before throwing in the towel on lunch service. Shame.
Food aside, the vibe/ambiance here was definitely lacking and made me miss Rise n Dine. Never a fan of counter service places, especially with how much “dining out” costs these days. The AC was blasting and just gave vibes they didn’t want you to stay long and enjoy your breakfast. Unfortunately, not likely I’d return to dine in for breakfast.
Too bad they discontinued the daily hot breakfast option. It was good for the short time it lasted.
