Man! This is my favorite stop on Flatbush when in Brooklyn. The tastes are signature Trinidadian; great for first tries at Caribbean culture (food). Affordable goodness. Vegetarian options: I, a vegan/vegetarian of over ten and 20 yrs., grew up on most the food sold here. They are fresh and Halal in that they are cooked separately from the animal products. Dietary restrictions: Knowledgeable staff will ensure proper subliminal precautions are taken to the dietary needs. Kid-friendliness: Kids come here with their families and presumably by themselves. Fun friendly snacks can be had too.
Went here on 12/17/2023, the guy kept asking if I wanted pumpkin when I asked for bone in curry chicken, I informed him I did not, he asked again and another customer told him no she just wants chicken, they were to concerned with wanting to know if this customer was ordering from 2 of them to even listen to what we were saying, he prepared my roti and still he puts pumpkin on it, I said you still putting pumpkin on it, he then states you asked for pumpkin I tell him there is no way I asked for pumpkin because I never even had pumpkin, he then say "yeah whatever lady" I knew my cuzin wanted to taste the food because we never had it before but heard it might be good so I didn't argue, I also had to beg for the potatoes and chick pea which I thought was standard on a roti, food was trash, they never said curry was spicy, my chicken pieces were pink not sure why because it seems chicken was done, but I wasn't about to find out, it had no curry taste and my niece is still throwing up, thanks but no thanks, this is definitely 1 of the places where I say who the heck is keeping them in business
