Salmon bagels on jalapeno is addicting

Paid $15 for bagel and hummus , soda and chips . So was Flat from fountain

This place is great! A real no-nonsense style set up. The cashier is ready to ring you up, and there are people dispatched immediately to work on your order. You can tell they're well-oiled team and ready for big rushes I am sure they get. As somone who's worked in places like this, noticing they had paper sacks pre-un-folded and puffed up ready to go let me know this. They're not a chain, so while yeah, they could have been more 'smiley', I was there to get coffee and a bagel sandwich fast, and they did just that (and the coffee was decent too AND I drink decaf and I can tell it hadn't been sitting out forever like decaf normally has). I don't usually leave reviews but this place and I doubt they'll ever see it, but it's just exactly what the world is missing nowadays. Simple menu, good prices, fast service, great food, no nonsense. The few seating spots seemed occupied by regulars who seemed very happy to be there. I don't shop in Northgate plaza often, but if I am ever there again in the morning I will plan to hit this spot up.

0 stars particularly for the older woman working the cash register. I work nearby and decided to try out the Cafe all to find out I do enjoy the bagel sandwiches. I would have made this place a regular for me if it wasn't for the older woman's poor customer service. Her blank face, very short tone when talking to me all changed to smiles and a cheery tone to "other" customers when "other" customers came behind me . I thought maybe the older lady had an off day so I went to try out the Cafe a second time. Same scenario except this time she escorted the couple behind me to the cashier counter while their sandwich was being made. As she's talking it up with the couple, I had to reach in between the couple to hand over my card to pay for my sandwich and then the older woman shelved my to-go bag for me to grab. Noted. I will not return.

So good! I order a toasyed bagel with cream cheese and a cup of coffe.

They have extremely fresh bagels in the morning. I always get a sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese and it's delicious. And the staff is kind of courteous.
