Nasty bagels, workers don’t understand English so they can mess up your order easily . Not recommended place. And too much expensive.
*****PRICE GOUGING***** I'd preface by saying i been going to Bagel boy for over 20 years. walked in at 530 asked for turkey on a hero and roll, pastrami on roll (3 sandwiches). All 3 with lettuce tomato and cheese. the guy who took my order and made it and rang me up seemed blown away by my order as if he never heard someone ask for a deli sandwich. Or maybe he was upset he would have to clean the deli slicer again 1hr30mins before closing. so lets do the math, the pastrami on the roll was 11.95 plus a 1 dollar for cheese and 1 dollar for lettuce and tomato. (13.95 for a pastrami on a roll) 1 turkey roll and hero for 13.90. plus 1 dollar per sandwich for cheese and 1 dollar per sandwich for lettuce and tomato. PLUS a surcharge of 2.50 for a hero. basically im paying a little under 40 dollars for 3 sandwiches. when i asked for receipt which i never do, i was confused by the extra charges. Ive been in the deli business with my father for over 30 years. and this is PRICE GOUGING. Get this. i called the other bagel boy in bay ridge they said i should be charged 50 cents per slice of cheese.and i shouldnt be charged extra for a hero or lettuce and tomato. they said would make it right if i came in. but my issue is with this location . times are tough. inflation is high. But this is different. DO better bagel boy.
They have been in business for over 35yrs iam from the bay my entire life been going to bagel boy ever since they owned the small store on ocean Ave Z half of you never been too, enough said..Best bagel store in in Brooklyn hands down..
You’re better off going to Bagel Roads. Prices are about the same but the service doesn’t compare. Can’t take orders over the phone (mobile only) They pay their staff $16 an hour, and as beautiful and organized as the store is- they lack originality. They open really early, possibly the only good thing
