Backyard BBQ

I ordered a modified cheese burrito with tri tip and poblano peppers. It is, by far, the best burrito I’ve had to date. Especially with the orange salsa that came with it and some horchata. My husband is excited because the sausage, tri tip, pulled pork, fries, and beans he got were absolutely amazing too. He was having me try a bite of everything because he loved it so much. We’re so lucky to have such a fantastic restaurant nearby and look forward to ordering food there again!

The Tri-tip Sandwich was dry & had no flavor. The bread was dry & as hard as a rock. I also ordered Chicken in a Cheeseburger & it had no flavor as well. This comment isn't meant to hurt the business, it's supposed to alert the owners & improve their business.

Backyard BBQ has a true Texmex vibe. The restaurant is small but offers a good sized menu. I had the tri tip sandwich, my daughter had the kids cheeseburger, and my husband had the tri tip burrito. All entrees were good portioned and flavorful. There was plenty of room to sit inside since most of their business appears to be to go orders. I like that they offer a few games to play while you wait for your food. This restaurant is minutes from Moorpark college and located near the community of campus park. Tri tip burrito. Juicy, tasty and ask for the hot sauce.GREAT!!

I came here last week for a tri tip sandwich and it was great!.. I’ve been craving this place since then so I came in today for a Burrito.. wow. So damn good. Great staff. Great food. Do yourself a favor and try this place ASAP.

Onion rings were good but the mac n cheese was the worst I have ever paid for. I swear it was kraft mac n cheese from a box. Very disappointing. I hope you change it.

Best tri tip in the area

Big portions and Tender Tri Tip. The Sausage Link was tasty and the BBQ sauce was mild. My friend has a low heat tolerance, so it was too spicy after a few bites, but good for me. The Fries were pretty good and thick fries. The bread could use some garlic, but it was buttered well. I would definitely try it again! The white stuff on the tri tip in the photo was bread.
