Bab Korean Bistro Brookline

I've visited this restaurant twice now. The ambiance is quite standard, lacking extravagant decorations, but I particularly enjoy the TVs playing K-pop music videos. The food is passable, although it might not fully satisfy a ravenous appetite. During our visit, my partner and I ordered jjajangmyeon, samgyupsal (pork belly), and tteokbokki. The tteokbokki stood out with its delightful flavor, not overly spicy, though I believe they would accommodate extra spice upon request. However, the jjajangmyeon was mediocre, needing a touch more salt, and the pork belly was somewhat tough, disappointing in its lack of accompanying lettuce leaves for wrapping.The food is acceptable, yet there are likely better Korean dining options offering more flavorful dishes. Nonetheless, it serves its purpose well for a quick meal.

Loved the spicy pork tofu soup :) waitress is so sweet and attentive.

My partner had never tried Korean food so I took him here! What a fabulous spot. The food is just delicious and the service is great. We both had sizzling dolsot bibim bap and it was so lovely - a great mix of flavors and ingredients, all served in a sizzling stone bowl. They also have a nice selection of soju and other fruit wines. Looking forward to going back here!

混んでいて座席がないような様子でしたが、私たちが雨に濡れて寒そうなのを見てか、席を空けてくれて、食事を取らせてくれました。 とっても嬉しかったです。 韓国語が少し話せるスタッフの方もいて、アットホームな雰囲気でした。 食事は本格的でとてもおいしかったです。 またボストンに行った際にはおうかがいしたいお店の一つです。

Spicy Scallion pancakes were amazing, not very spicy. I had the bimbimbab in the stone bowl delicious. Chicken bulgogi was delicious, beef bulgogi was reported to be very flavorful but a bit dry. Will definitely go back, lots more items to try.

We had a positive overall experience with the service at this establishment. While we did encounter a lengthy wait and found it challenging to secure a table in the past. The server was well-acquainted with the menu and provided helpful suggestions. Although the food was generally satisfactory, the Korean pancakes fell short of our expectations, lacking the desired crispiness and having a thicker flavor profile than anticipated for restaurant-style pancakes. Despite this, the attentive service and helpful staff contribute to a generally enjoyable dining experience, though we may explore other Korean options for a more tailored culinary experience in the future.

Customer service here is terrible. The lady at the front is either racist or doesn’t like her job or both. She didn’t greet me or anything. Atleast pretend if you don’t want to be there. The men at the front I don’t have a problem with but that lady makes me not want to come back. Food is good but not worth the bad service you’ll receive getting your food
