Azuma Sushi Bistro

Wow this place was awesome! The food is perfectly prepared, the drinks were very strong, and the portions were huge! Lots of places to park too. It wasn't extremely busy either but it is the off season. Definitely recommend!

Food was really good! We sat at the sushi bar and our food came out really fast. They even gave us sushi on the house and my husband thought it was really good! The Kani Salad was amazing! The angry dragon roll is a must to try! There presentation is everything! The inside looks beautiful and the set up is welcoming!

We have ordered take out from Azuma before and would give it 4 stars for takeout, but this time we decided to try their hibachi dinner. It was a very busy night I guess, because we had to wait 25 minutes after our reservation time for the table to clear and to be able to sit down. It took another 20-25 minutes to order and get a drink before dinner. They brougtt the wrong drink but I just took it anyway because after 45-50 minutes since i had arrived, I needed one! Once the chef arrived, the food and service were overall just ok. I thought they drenched the rice and noodles with a bit too much sauce, but that might be just a personal preference. Stick to takeout or a regular table and it will likely be a better experience here.

Huge variety of specialty rolls and entrees. We only waited 15 minutes at 6 pm and the restaurant was busy. They seated 4 of us at a huge 6 person booth in the back and it was perfect and not noisy. Hibachi restaurant with bar seating. Full sushi production on display as you walk thru restaurant. Hard to pick between all the Japanese options and Curry. I chose yellow shrimp curry which had tons of vegetables; onions -peppers - eggplant and potatoes. Portions are very large and shareable. Our server had to keep refilling water and was attentive. Prices are reasonable with a full entree between $16-$20. Specialty rolls are about $15-18 but regular rolls are under $10. We will be back!

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. This was our first visit but most certainly will not be our last. Looking forward to going back soon.

Updated Review: Recent visit. My lunch date had the lunch special and there was no salad dressing present. After notifying the waitress, the waitress proceeded to use my dates chopsticks to stir and dig through the salad in a quest to verify the presence of dressing. I was horrified, how dare your staff do this. Is this part of the training? To not cause a scene, we said nothing. Completed our meal and left a generous tip.

Best Asian food in the area. Love it!

Best place for hibachi in upstate Ny. So good. Lunch special is worth the money
