The food here is quite tasty. At this price point it’s definitely worth trying. I had the Birria tacos, which were delish. I like the garnishes as well, cilantro and minced onion and limes and a molé sauce. My lunch partner had the mahi tacos and said they were solidly good. The little bag of chips were made fresh in house and had a nice slightly smoky flavor. He reported the margarita as “good - it tasted like more…” Definitely worth trying.
First time here, will be coming back. Great tacos!
Excellent food, tasted great and fresh. The place is small and there's a few outdoor tables if one prefers. Counter service at one end of the bar, and there's bar stools at the bar for one to enjoy food, beers, and other spirits!
Passing through Sacramento and I was hungry for some Mexican food and I found Azul's nearby my location. Stopped in for an early dinner and ordered the Sopes platter (3 Sopes) it didn't come with rice or beans so I took it as is, and I also ordered a cup of Tortilla soup. The tortilla soup came out pretty quick, I also was given a bag of tortilla chips and two salsa cups. The soup was average, leaned more on the sweet tomatoe side opposed to a chipotle or adobo spicy side. It has avocado slices, cubed queso and tortilla strips inside of it. The red salsa was very mild and tomatoey, while the green was a bit spicy and had a nice taste to it. Finally my Sopes came out and they were pretty small compared to your average sope, but had a fair amount of meat, lettuce, avocado and crema on them. I had two Pastor and one Carnitas and both meats were seasoned and cooked well. They were small though so they went down more like finger foods than a full meal. Overall not bad but not great. I'd eat there again if I wasn't very hungry but most likely next time I'm in town I'll try another place to satisfy my appetite.
Food is fantastic. You won't regret it and service is great!
Love the Azul Burrito and tacos. So yummy
