Went on a coffee date here. It was a really nice coffee place. I don’t drink coffee and when I was there I had lost my voice so I asked the guy behind the counter to put something together for me that would help and he did. It was really nice of him to do that for me.

I first visited out of curiosity. 'Pleasantly surprised' does not fully encapsulate the experience at Awake's non-alcoholic bar. As someone trying to give up drinking, Awake gives off those same cozy, social vibes you get at an upscale, neighborhood bar. However, I'm able to drive home afterwards. My body and mind are content and relaxed without the haze and stupor of alcohol (not to mention the lack of a hangover the next day). The events and rotating menu keep things fresh upon return visits. The staff is always welcoming and loves talking about their complex, carefully curated mocktail menu. You can tell they're passionate about what they make, and they're proud of it! (Side note: I hesitate to use the word 'mocktail' should someone bastardize the term by imagining Grenadine dumped into Sprite. Awake's beverages are beyond compare.) I genuinely recommend Awake whether you are just curious, want a new experience, or are sober. It's worth a go.

I have been here a few times and the staff don't seem very friendly, it takes a long time to get food, and the coffee is really bitter and terrible.

The concept was interesting but the drinks were not very good. The "margarita" was extremely tart, almost undrinkable. My wife had a "Manhattan" which wasn't terrible but was definitely missing something... I know there's no alcohol but the taste was just off. Service was also super slow for how small the place was, it was downright difficult to flag down our waiter to get the check. Jazz music was unique, I hope this concept takes off. Needs some ironing though!

I loved trying out the non alcoholic drinks at Awake. All the ladies that worked there were so sweet and very friendly.

Denver’s first sober bar! I’ve been so excited to try to this spot for months now. I came here with a friend last Saturday. The bar is beautiful with tasteful decor- velvet forest green barstools, eclectic wall clocks, and a gorgeous chandelier. As a sober person, I really appreciate the concept of this space. We tried the smoked sage honeybee mocktail. It was pretty good. I liked the smoked flare to it. Is it worth the $12 price tag? For me, probably not. Overall, I found the vibe to be a bit flat. I was hoping for a more engaging atmosphere from the staff and to see drink specials. I would’ve loved to have tried another mocktail but the price added up fast. I would say that’s my only criticism, maybe Awake does offer drink specials on different nights. I’ll have to try it another time. Great job on the space and the concept 💕
