It was our first time eating at the restaurant. Greeted with a Happy hello and was seat. Fryed green tomatoes was delicious alone with our dinner choices. Our sever very nice lady. The menu was very simple, easy to order from. Good atmosphere,TV's. Noted after 6pm more people was coming in for dinner. My husband and I will return!!🥂

The 2 stars are for the staff only. Food was very salty.. to the point of being inedible. I asked for 2 eggs over easy and they came out cooked solid. Overall all the food received at the table was salted so much that not much could be eaten. The food could be great if there wasn't so much salt!

Nice spot for brunch. Enjoyed vegan nachos, shrimp and grits, drinks, and live music with the girls. Hostess forgot us on the wait list but made up for it.

We were excited to try Avondale Common House for the first time. We called and placed a to-go order. The guy told us 15-20 minutes. My husband arrived at the 20 minute mark and was told they couldn’t find our order. The guy who took it was able to find it and the lady said it was going to be a long time before they could get to us because they were busy. When my husband received our order around 30 minutes later it was the wrong order. My husband was so frustrated that he asked for a refund and left without our food. This place has good reviews, so I’m thinking it was just an off day. Hopefully if we ever decide to give them a try again they will be better organized with improved customer service.

This place has really gone downhill. My "smoky old fashioned" just tasted like orange peel. No whiskey to speak of. My grits and collard greens were cold, and the tortillas for my girlfriend's tacos were like leather. We've been coming for years and brought some friends from out of town. We couldn't be more embarrassed and disappointed. I appreciate most of the meal being comped, but that's not the point. We won't be back.

Extremely limited and odd menu. Took a while to be seated and the waiter was slammed with tables. Even the hamburger was prepared very odd. Not really our taste
