Auspicious Baking Company

The vegan scene in Savannah is severely lacking. One of the few places that makes a very limited amount of vegan choices. The problem is they don't make enough to keep up with the demand. They make a vegan chocolate croissant which is popular and supplied to a few local restaurants. The problem in their store is they very often run out of them. I've been unable to get one probably half the time that I've gone here. One would think if an item is big seller they'd stock it better.

You can tell it's good by the line going out the door.

There are so many good things to say about Auspicious, but one of the most impactful and admirable things about this bakery is the owners. You always see them in the shop, serving the customers with smiles and working alongside their employees. It says so much about their care for the community. So many companies can learn from them and their personability. Thank you for all you do ❤️

I went to Auspicious Bakery on March 29, 2024. It was my first time going and our daughter came with me. The line was out the door but moved quickly. It smelled good inside so I was excited. I knew I wanted some bread but there was not much of a variety. I asked for a healthy wheat or grain bread and there was only one. Our daughter and I decided on bagels and a loaf of whole wheat bread. Everyone was very nice. My family and I first tried the sesame and plain bagels. They were hard, not fresh, but tasted ok toasted with cheese and peanut butter. A few days later we tried the whole wheat bread. The crust was hard, again not fresh, but tasted ok with tuna on it. My family and I were disappointed. I had heard good things about the bakery and read good reviews. I will not be returning. Glad the bakery is doing well.

There's always a line, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Even when it's busy, they greet you and thank you for coming in. Towards the end of the afternoon, they start discounting items. I got extra soft pretzels since they were bogo. The red velvet turnover was amazing.
