Zaria was our waitress and she was so attentive! She took such great care of us, gave suggestions on the menu, and was so kind. The food is excellent! The creamy parmesan spicy sauce is amazing. Pancakes are cooked perfectly. Our 5 year old loved it. Will definitely be back the next time we are in Atlanta!

I was extremely disappointed today. Usually when I go to this place, it's nice and calm and quiet. Great music and nice vibes. Unfortunately, today they had a health inspector come, who was very loud, ghetto, ratchet, overbearing, disrespectful, was not courteous to the guests sitting down trying to eat their meal.. She was talking so loud that it was annoying. You could hear her whole conversation. It seemed like she was trying to sabotage the restaurant's reputation. Either way, she was so distracting that the cook put too much sauce on my food. I was so disappointed that I left the restaurant without even finishing the meal which cost me $40. The inspector made my dining experience horrible. I still paid for my food, that I didn't want, and left it on the table and tipped the waitress. I ended up going to Chick-fil-A. I should have just went there from the start.

I had the greatest experience eating at a black own restaurant. The food was excellent, the customer experience was excellent, and my waitress (Gabriel) was outstanding! I even though she was the owner. Way to go Augie's team!!!

This was an exceptional experience. Everything was on point with the food. It was visually appealing and delicious. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxing and the service was impeccable. I don't have one complaint. I absolutely love Augie's Cafe and it will be on my list of stops for all of my future visits to Atlanta. Kid-friendliness: Our server Drapper was so kind. He even Hi- fived my daughter after she finished her pancakes and syrup (sticky fingers). My Ximmy who is very picky gave them a 100 out of a 100. She said mommy we should eat her everyday. Thank you Drapper for making it such a wonderful experience for my littles.

Did a pre-visit to this place (Abernathy location) on a Friday because I had company visiting the next day and I wanted to take them to a Saturday morning brunch and I thought this would be nice since it was near my home and has high ratings. Very glad I checked this place out before bringing several guests with me. Since it was close to closing time when we got there, I placed a to go order for the mac & cheese, 3 fried wings, collard greens and cornbread (ie Keep thar Same Ole Feeling) meal. My child had the French toast, eggs and bacon meal (Never to Much). The mac & cheese, chicken wings, and cornbread were cooked to pure perfection! Finger licking goooood! However, the collards were bland and below average at best, I’ve tasted can collards that were better. The French toast was indeed pretty eye catching, but there wasn’t any flavor in the French toast itself. Tasted like regular eggs cooked on bread. I didn’t taste any flavoring like cinnamon, vanilla, etc. The bacon tasted rancid. We love bacon but the bacon here just had a very disgusting taste so we threw it away. The biggest turn off was the 20% auto tip for carry out (see receipt pic here) We ordered carry out instead of dining inside the restaurant because it was about to close so I didn’t want to pay a tip for winding down service so I ordered to go to avoid this, but I was charged a mandatory 20% tip anyway. Never in my life have I paid a 20% tip for carry out that I picked up myself and this is the main reason I will never go there again. Felt ripped off for that being added to my “carry out” bill. Also, this place is very very tiny compared to the Augie’s breakfast bar cafe. It’s like a hole in the wall type of joint. When I walked in, I immediately knew I wasn’t going to bring my party of 7 there for brunch because the seating (if we ever got seating since I was told there is a long wait on Saturdays during the time we planned to come and they don’t take reservations ) would be very tight and uncomfortable and COVID is still real to be packed up like sardines in that tiny space. This place is so small that the open back area is used for the restaurant’s supply space which you have to walk through before going to restroom. This place is just too small to accommodate a party larger than 2-3 people during peak times. Please don’t be fooled by the pics you see online because the pics of the bigger space is more than likely their other location off moreland ave. Also, parking was not good at all. It wasn’t even crowded when me and my kid went over there, and parking was still a challenge because there isn’t hardly any parking to begin with. If you want better service, ample parking, a bigger space to accommodate a party of 3 or more during peak hours, i would suggest you go to the Caroline street location of Augies. It was hands down much better than the Abernathy location. Much better in every way. Parking: A few free spots in front of the strip the restaurant sits in but you’ll be extremely lucky to get a space during peak hours especially since this place sits right next to a very popular restaurant. Parking on the streets in the residential neighborhood may cause you some trouble so park at your own risk ⚠️
