Audubon Bar & Patio

I'm not sure who these folks are with these horrible experiences lately? Our server was a top-notch professional! The cocktails were delicious. My burger was perfection. The Paperadelle pasta was flavorful. The piano player set a great mood in the bar. I'm not sure how the experience could have been better. So glad I ignored the recent reviews and went there to check it out for myself.

Bar tender is offensive and rude will absolutely never go back there again. There was no need for the extra negative comment that she said specifically when people are drinking.

I have fond memories of this historic Tucson icon with many delicious meals through the years. However, lunch today was practically inedible. I ordered the Caesar Salad and was served mostly brown tinged chopped up romaine with very few edible pieces and tasteless bits of tomato. Frankly I should have sent this mess back. I'm shocked that this was even sent out from the kitchen! Our waiter was very good and it's not in my nature to make a fuss. However, this was unacceptable and I am incredibly disappointed. I left a voice mail for the food and beverage manager but of course, have not heard back. Shame on whoever thinks this was an acceptable plate of food to be served to a guest.

Overall, it was a poor experience this evening. Was ignored by waitstaff for the first 15 minutes after arrival, then somewhat choppy service from there on out. The fish dishes brought into the bar area smelled offensively strong, like seafod that wasn't fresh. Disappointing, because in years past this was always a good spot with great service and food. EDIT: Following this visit, it appeared that our server decided to commit a bit of fraud and give himself a bigger tip than was written on the receipt. Never returning.

A special dinner was shared here on the patio, since it was such a lovely night. We could not stay in the hotel, but we completely enjoyed our dinner. They were able to seat us without reservations, but we were lucky. That is not normal. The food was excellent and the service attentive. The view of the grounds was delightful. And the restroom was very nice. The one incident was that the server did not remember to bring us our bill. We waited for what seemed like longer than it should take and then finally I had to seek out the dinner reservations desk and ask. The problem was quickly corrected but it was a bit embarrassing to have to ask. Still, we were quite impressed. Parking is free and across the street in a secure and enclosed, but outdoor, lot. There is valet service also.
