Au Za'atar - Midtown East

Une très bonne adresse pour le dîner. Placés au comptoir, nous avons pu suivre le ballet des serveurs et beaucoup discuté avec eux, ce qui a rendu l'expérience plus originale qu'attendue. Le service est donc aux petits soins, les cocktails sont supers, et la nourriture très bonne bien que légèrement sur assaisonnée (j'ai trouvé).

Delicious food, some of the best I’ve had in awhile in NYC. Each dish was superb. Gio was our waiter. Amazing service ☺️

My recent visit to [Au Za'atar ] was outstanding, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Gio. From the moment we arrived, Gio's attentiveness and enthusiasm elevated our dining experience. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and ensured our orders were promptly taken care of. The food was delicious, expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. Overall, I highly recommend [Au Za'atar], especially for Gio's outstanding service.

Gio was a 10/10. Food was really good but portions a little smaller

We got the chicken shawarma and a side order of spicy rice. The chicken shawarma came with fries and was expensive but it was enough to feed 4 people in this case it was 3 of us and we couldn’t finish it. It was good and def worth splitting. My biggest grievance with it was that it didn’t match the aesthetic of the restaurant. Very fancy looking restaurant but I have part of my table being occupied by an extension chord while the heat from the shawarma was roasting my friends. I also thought the spicy rice was too expensive for a sad amount of rice. The service on the other hand was great and again the food itself was still good. Overall more of a high end experience.

Was in the area with a friend and decided to check this place out, and Wowowow this place blew me away! The food, the atmosphere, the service (shout out to Gio who was very helpful and super patient with my friend and me on choosing what to get, because the menu was a tad overwhelming) everything was fantastic. Loved the different mezzes, especially the eggplant one. Will definitely be coming back here multiple times in the near future
