Au Feu Brasserie - Wash Park

Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Au Feu! Our party of five really enjoyed the cheese board, mussels, poutine, duck a l’orange, and sea scallops. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and extensive wine list. And we loved the modern bistro decor!

I'm stoked to try this restaurant so I'm gonna just go ahead and give 5 stars right off the bat. What I'm wondering is why there are still reviews for the previous establishment that was here. It throws off this new restaurant's overall rating. It would probably be 4.5+ without the reviews of the previous restaurant included. I'm seeing overwhelmingly positive feedback for this new restaurant. When I first saw the 4.1 average rating and all the keywords terms "tenders", "banana pudding", "chicken sandwich", I thought "hmmm, what's going on?" and then lo and behold, reviews for the previous establishment that closed, a chicken restaurant were still up. That should probably be dealt with because it is very misleading lol.

Nicole is the type of server I wish I could experience every time I went out to eat. She’s knowledgeable, funny, & attentive. I didn’t get to eat much besides the Green Chartreuse washed cheese, which is phenomenal, but the cocktails were outstanding!

Fine. Our dishes were tasty enough. Atmosphere felt like they were only interested in getting us to order as many things as possible and to hurry us on our way. Based on the line to get into the place next door, we'll try that if we're in the neighborhood before we try AF again.

This place is the definition of excellence!! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here last night and the moment we walked in each staff member promptly wished us a happy anniversary, the decor and seating style is a dream and the food was 5 stars across the board! Plus the cocktails!!! We will be back very soon. Thank you for the best evening and celebrating with us

Wonderful cocktails and app's at this cool place. Benjamin waited on us and he was great! The cauliflower steak and salade nicoise were delicious. We will definitely return.

I’d love to give Au Feu a 5 star review, I really would. Things that hit the 5 star rating. Lobster Thermidor, the duck a la’orange, and the service. Honestly the creaminess, cheese, and herbs combination in the lobster is incredible. Well worth the premium price. Order it! The tartare missed the mark and the mussels we’re very good, but not incredible. This is a very good restaurant that simply needs a couple of menu tweaks to hit greatness! Thank you for the fantastic meal, and we will see you again soon!
