Awesome food . Good people.
DELICIOUS! I'm spoiled when it comes to Hawaiian food and this was spot on. Katsu was crispy but juicy in the middle. Korean grilled chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfectly tangy. Sooo ono!
One of the best in Woodstock. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's worth the trip around the block.
Consistently tasty. One of my favorite Hawaiian places in town, much better than Roxy's, Hawaiian Time, or the one in Vancouver. On par with Bamboo Grill. Solid drink selection. Quick and friendly even when busy, kitchen seems well-organized. Last time I went to the Woodstock location, the taller guy at the front with glasses was friendly and super helpful. Great positive yet chill customer service. Plates = large portion! Love the teriyaki chicken, lately it hasn't been quite as consistent but still good. Maybe this varies with location? Idk. It used it be big grilled pieces of chicken thigh, blackened and caramelized at the edges, smothered in delicious sauce. It's still smothered in delicious sauce (try a lil teriyaki on the mac salad! ), but now the chicken is sometimes chopped up and doesn't seem as uniquely grilled. More like the pieces of teriyaki chicken you'd find on top of a rice bowl. Still good – I'll keep going back. Vegetarian options: A couple vegetarian options, but main entrees / proteins are grilled meats. Parking: Free shared lot situated "behind" the restaurant on 52nd Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere is already somewhat loud, menu items seem kid-friendly, lots of space at this location Wheelchair accessibility: No steps or gaps. Chairs could easily be pulled away from tables to make space.
Place is ON POINT!! Was greeted with enthusiasm and authenticity. An ASTOUNDING “Aloha!” As soon as I walked in for my pick up order. We got the Katsu Pork and Spare Ribs and we were not disappointed!! The pork as I’m told is the original style of Katsu and eaten primarily that way for millennia. The ribs were tender and sauced just right. We’d definitely go again. Arron was real kind and had lots of information about the dishes and history. Definitely give him a holler!! 3 ’s outta 3 ’s for customer service, authenticity, and just dang good food!! Kid-friendliness: The folks are all just so nice and a kid would love to see their smiles. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doors for accessibility
Great food and very kind staff!!!
It lost its touch. The food is plain, and a chore to eat. I understand Hawaii food. It's not a gourmet quinze. But it all tastes the same. And overpriced. Not for the quantity you receive, but the quality of the food. Now the 808 carts are fire!
