Colombian waiter always very attentive ..
The place is totally fine but I have HAD IT with places that don’t have paper menus. Not only does it not have a paper menu, but their menu is HUGE with no “sections” at the top, so you have to scroll through the ENTIRE THING. So everyone in the restaurant is just staring at their phones for 15 minutes when they walk in. Not only do they only have QR menus, but you pay through it too, so I have to submit all of my payment info through the app. Also, since you put your entire menu order in at once through the QR menu, you don’t order drinks first so you have to wait for your drinks to arrive with your food. I’m sorry, it’s not the pandemic anymore. And we aren’t in Newark airport. BE A NORMAL RESTAURANT.
I’ll make this an edible review sandwich because it’s the only thing edible at least on my plate. The location and atmosphere is very nice. Warm and bright. Then comes the QR code ordering system. You have to order all your food as if you are ordering DoorDash to your table. This includes forcing you to give a tip before food and service. This would be cool if I was with my kids at Disney land and the waiter was a robot. But nope, no robots! Now comes the food, if you thought McDonalds photos were deceiving wait till you get your IRL food. My chicken biscuit was a picture of an actual piece of fried chicken. What I got was a few day old deli counter chicken cutlet and a stale biscuit. If I had gone to the bodega and ordered this maybe I would be happy. Dried biscuit with a hot honey dipping sauce. Yet somehow no flavor and overly greasy. And finally the bottom nice part of the compliment sandwich. My girlfriend seemed to like her overly salty carnitas skillet, except it didn’t include nearly as much veg and (or any herbs) as shown in the menu photo. Cute and festive atmosphere though, so definitely has some potential depending on what you order. Solid Irish coffee too.
The best bar/restaurant in Astoria! Best fries in the city. One of the best burgers too. Awesome staff.
This place gets really busy, but the wait for a table is short. You can order and pay on your phone for dine in to help speed things along. The food was really good and I would definitely eat here again.
My husband and I loved it. We ended up eating here two days in a row for breakfast. Haven't tried lunch though but what we had was delicious.
Food that we love. Prices that we appreciate. This is a place you want to know.
