Insane good and cheap, veg friendly
Food is delicious I love spices but you are fighting with flies all the time. Service was slow.
"I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews, but I was sorely disappointed. Terrible service it’s under new management the previous owner is no longer there that’s why everything is terrible. This is not Ethiopian food restaurant anymore..
I brought 15 people here with no reservation (Im sorry) and they killed it and I love them. The food: insanely good, beautifully spiced. The drinks: you have to try honey wine!!! Buy too much food and take it home and eat it tomorrow for lunch!!
Staff is really nice, i like the restaurant and it's vibes, food is 5/10. Every dish kinda taste the same and sour .
I had a late afternoon lunch here after seeing a show at the Bass Concert Hall. The walk over was a bit scary, but the inside of the restaurant is homely and inviting with the signature smell of tasty spices. I had the Doro Wott, which was pretty good. Each of the side dishes (you get 3 with an entree!) had its own unique flavor, providing a fun varied meal. I have had Ethiopian food in the past, and other restaurants better suited my tastes, but I still found Aster's to be appealing and wholesome. Stomach felt great afterwards. A good little family restaurant.
This place is special to me, the food is very comforting even though I did not have much experience with Ethiopian cuisine growing up. I used to get take outs from here before every ochem exam, and I called this place Ether’s Ethiopian food. The family that run this place is also very kind and friendly.
