ASTA is a world class dining experience and a “must visit” whenever I’m in Boston. The dining room is relaxed and casual but service is exceptional. The plant forward menu features classic French preparations with a Scandanavian influence. The ingredients are well sourced and of the highest quality. A standout feature is the beverage program, featuring low intervention wines and sake, with an occasional classic thrown in for a surprise! Diners are offered the option of a foie Gras and cheeese course, which is highly recommended. Vegetarian options: This is a plant forward menu and they can best accommodate with advance notice.
It was a great experience. Feels like home made gastronomy food. The service is very nice! It was so interesting and refreshing! When you can really taste the food
Cute restaurant with friendly staff. They have a tasting menu with wine pairing (optional) and some daily specials. Portion sizes are pretty small but it’s like 6-8 courses in total with all the appetizers and palette cleansers they give you. I’d say they do their vegetables excellently, we really enjoyed their courses around endives and sunchokes. For their protein courses, it is definitely more average.
incredible place, truly an experience. great from start to beginning. Would absolutely recommend this place to all!
Some of the dishes were good, others just weren't. We all agreed it was a fun experience, but not somewhere we'd ever return to or recommend to others.
Couple nice dishes but definitely not worth $120 per person.
I really like eating at Asta. The service is warm and attentive (it's been the same staff the whole time we've been coming which says a lot). The food is inventive and seasonally focused. They host a vegan adventure in January, and the rest of the year serve an omnivore menu with a vegan option which you can reserve ahead. The service is prix fixe multi-course menu which changes continuously throughout the year as the seasons change. They've been very good in accommodating food allergies. Vegetarian options: Reserve ahead for vegan or vegetarian version. Dietary restrictions: They're really good about accommodating restrictions but you MUST let them know ahead of time when reserving a seat.
