the food was pretty good. i’d say it’s similar to the tao chain in terms of quality. maybe not the most authentic, but not bad. the egg rolls were the best starter. the crispy rice tuna was somehow not very crispy, almost a little mushy. the pork potstickers were good. the japanese yakimishi fried rice was fine. a little oily and the vegetables werent as cooked as i’d prefer but had good flavor.

My best friend and I were having our first BFF dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The vibes, the aesthetics, the food, the drinks, and the servers were all great. However The next morning, my friend, realized the whole bill was put onto her card despite me also putting my card on the table. It wasn't until the next morning when she noticed an additional $200 charge on her card that was not from us. When she contacted management, they kept telling her that the transaction was not from their restaurant because it showed the second one in lowercase letters whereas our original transaction showed uppercase letters. This was management's way of saying that they did not run her card despite it saying POS system at asset. Management however did decide to refund her back the Full amount for our dinner which was appreciated. however, it was still that additional charge of $200 that no one had an answer except that it was not their restaurant. My friend contacted her bank and they explained the transaction did come from the restaurant while we were still there, it was done at a different machine from where our original transaction was done. So now it just becomes the question of who took her card and swiped it at another machine, and how many times has this possibly been done. While everything about the restaurant was amazing, just be very mindful to check your card after paying, and if you can help it maybe take cash when going to this establishment.

Great little spot in the Upper West side for dinner. Took my wife out there for our anniversary dinner and she loved it. We devoured our food like it was the last meal of our lives.

Asset is hands down our city favorite – delicious food, amazing drinks, and vibes that are just unmatched. Their new menu is also super creative. Major shoutout to MJ for being the MVP server, always dropping knowledge on the menu. Loved the hospitality!!! Already counting down the days till we're back!
