Been here twice, the food is good but not spectacular. The servers were professional and attentive. The restaurant has a cute and rustic feel to it, but the location - not so much, it’s in a rough neighborhood.
《⭐ MICHELIN RECOMMENDED ITALIAN RESTAURANT ⭐》 - chinotto brio soda = $4 - - aperol spritz = $15 - - ravioli & crab feature = $38 - - pappardelle & duck ragu = $35 - I don't know how it's taken us this long to visit Ask for Luigi, but I'm so happy we finally did. I've been really enjoying these intimate, rustic restaurants around the city where you can sit down, enjoy a nice meal, and feel like you're over at a friend's house having a good time. We were able to secure our early dinner reservation about a month ahead of time through Tock, and got seated right at golden hour. The vibes were immaculate, the service was great, and the food was even better. The special featured ravioli filled with dungeness crab meat and prawns , mascarpone cheese and chives. The pasta was tossed in a guanciale and tomato crema and each ravioli was topped with a small sprig of dill. The filling tasted so fresh and was so fluffy. As we finished each bite, the dill helped to cut through the fattiness of the guanciale and it was just I'm also a huge sucker for duck so we had to try the pappardelle & duck ragu. I was very surprised by the portion of the duck and how tender the meat was. The noodles were cooked perfectly and were the perfect vessel to highlight the complexities of the sauce. Huge thanks to Ask for Luigi for making my fiance's birthday dinner so memorable!
Came here for lunch with some friends and really enjoyed their pasta. I would definitely comeback again for lunch, dinner, or a nice date night
We got take out, the person on the phone was rude right off the bat, because my phone was cutting out. But they were nice enough when we came in. The food was dripping with grease, even the meatballs were greasy. The mushroom pasta was so flavourless and there were only 5 small pieces of mushroom in the whole dish. We ate about half of our meals before flushing the rest down the toilet. And even our toilet didn’t want to eat the meatballs
Incredible food, service and atmosphere...
A very lively place, cozy and romantic. Service was great, our waiter was moderately attentive. On a Sunday night we managed to get a table without a reservation, but it seemed like there were no other free tables. Food is overrated after all the good reviews, I had seafood pasta and it was mediocre, pasta itself was kinda grainy. The olive cake was good, but nothing extraordinary.
Good restaurant but don’t park nearby. Had my car broken into even though I could see it for the entire dinner.
Good Italian cuisine. Good pasta.
carbonara was too salty and the rest of the food was nothing special. Vibe was okay but service was mid.
