Omg! I will never come here again. We sat down at 5:38 and by 6:45 we had been told 6 times that they needed the table at 7:15. My friend and I were having a conversation and were interrupted every 7 minutes to be informed that they needed the table at 7:15. And then, they had the audacity to charge a $13 service charge to the bill AND expect a tip!? We went out to happy hour to relax and chat and this was exactly opposite. I won’t support a greedy place like this! If they couldn’t serve us, they should not have seated us but they wanted our money and then to get us out the door.
The HH has some decent deals on food and drink, and cool atmosphere overall. When you order off the menu, order what you want and it will be good, but don't forget about the FRENCH FRIES. They are always cooked perfectly crispy, the sauce that comes with them is amazing, and add the chili sauce also if you want to add even more flavor (just learned that trick last night).
We had the opportunity to eat at the Denver location last weekend. The environment was enjoyable. Our service was excellent as our waitress was attentive and very friendly. The food itself was mediocre and the portions leave much to be desired. The humus plate could be consumed in one swipe. For the price they are charging they could at least pus a bit more on the plates. They also added a service charge (not called a tip) of 20%. This was added on after the tax was applied so we are paying 20% on the tip as well. They also suggest and it seems like they expect an additional tip for the server. We actually tipped additional money and it felt awkward the way this is handled. They indicate that the service fee goes to the front and the back of the house. This is not OK. Pay your employees and charge a buck or 2 more for your entrees. I have been noticing this additional fee in several restaurants in the area. Some places call it a wellness fee. Needless to say I won't be going to either the Boulder or Denver restaurants again.
The Labneh and Wood fired artichoke hearts were a group favorite! Ambiance was wonderful and the staff were very friendly!
Wonderful food and friendly service. Definitely try the feta donuts. Thank you!
Great food, warm hospitality, modern & chic atmosphere. We chose to eat here after some online research, and it was an amazing experience. Very highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting this spot again.
First off let me say that the service was fantastic. Our bartender made one of the better mezcal cocktails that I’ve had in a long time, and he had a fantastic bar precense and personality. My problem with the restaurant lies more in the management. The drink menu had no Moroccan influence, and there are no beer choices. My wife and I ordered the lamb kofta plate. Each plate was $17 (which is the most affordable entree in the returaunt). The “plate” had 2 lamb kofta (small meatballs on a skewer) and a half potion of rice. Furthermore, even though there were only two of us, they charged us, and presumably every patron, a 20% gratuity. We were not made aware of this until after the bill was delivered. They claim this gratuity for a split evenly amongst all staff, including kitchen. In my mind for the price and serving size, the owners of this establishment should be able to pay their kitchen staff sufficiently without robbing from the front staff. I hope that they actually tip the bartender out, because this policy is toxic to both the patron and the staff. This location permits these policies because they have an abundance of new clientele. I however, will unfortunately not be returning, and I suggest you find a more authentic Moroccan restaurant to satisfy you (we had to stop at Wendy on the way home).
Best ambience for authentic and flavorful cuisine. Simple and hearty food served to perfection. Evan makes the best pitas in town, fight me 🙏🏼
