Aqua Kyoto

Nice time. Friendly staff. But … Empty place. As empty as my stomach after leaving that said place … food was good but for that price range ? Definitely lots of better option for bottomless brunch. Wouldn’t recommend.

It was my partner’s birthday and we had such a lovely evening celebration here in Aqua Kyoto. The food was terrific and the service was up to our expectations. They even surprised us with a birthday treat which was very sweet of them.

I enjoy having lunch at Aqua Kyoto, because not only is the food exquisite but the restaurant is not busy at lunchtime and staff are very well trained.

Waited an hour to get any service, rarely saw a waiter or any server

Indulging in the lunch set menu at Aqua Kyoto was an adventure in innovative and contemporary cuisine. The extensive offerings featured beautifully-presented sushi, sashimi, and creatively crafted hot dishes that tantalized the taste buds. Despite the expansive menu, which provided a delightful challenge, we savoured every bite with gusto. Complementing our meal were impeccably crafted cocktails, boasting a diverse selection that catered to all tastes, along with an impressive array of wines. The desserts were nothing short of amazing, offering a sweet conclusion to our culinary journey. The service was exemplary, characterized by professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care, enhancing our overall dining experience. The atmosphere was lovely, setting the stage for a pleasant and memorable meal. In sum, it was a delightful fusion of flavours, hospitality, and ambiance, leaving us thoroughly satisfied and eager to return.

I had dinner for combined celebration of, a birthday, a graduation and a promotion for three members of my family. We also have a family holiday to Tokyo booked for December, so we all agreed to have a preview taste of Japanese food. We decided on the Experience menu plus wine which cost £150 per head, so that we could sample a wider variety of food and the wine which go with it. Generally the food was quite delicious. We enjoyed the seafood and the wagyu beef. The desert and accompanying wine was excellent. My only critical observation is that the portions are very small for the very high price of the menu when compared to other fine dine places we have been to in Central London. It will be more cost effective to order individual food items......which is what we will do in Tokyo. The staff are very very welcoming, which made for a nice day out for my family.
