Applebee's Grill + Bar

I used to enjoy Applebee's. This location has gone downhill a lot. Seats were ripped and dirty. Service was slow. Twice we walked up to bar to get a drink. Food was mediocre at best. My medium rare steak was well done. Broccoli had no flavor. Mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal. Spinach dip appetizer had little flavor, too.

The food was dried out overcooked and for them not having alot of people in there we had to wait to be seat for a wile drinks weren't right

Excellent service. Food was pretty good. Place was clean.

Very short staffed. It took forever to get our food. The staff was friendly but very rushed. They were out of chicken strips so they used boneless wings to substitute. Ordered a drink and didn't receive it until the end of my meal. Soup served in a to-go cup when I was dining in. Ordered food to go and was not given silverware. When it was time to pay we were given the wrong bill. When it was corrected the receipt was at the end of the paper so the roll was pink striped and light ink that you could barely read. I am normally a big fan of Applebee's but unfortunately very let down choosing this location as my dinner choice .

Yuck. Menu we were given had blob of white stuff maybe mayo or ranch on it. Neither us or the kids could read the menu because lighting was so poor. Our table was sticky so we asked for it to be cleaned and stickiness and stains still could not be removed. Waters were not delivered until after the food. Chicken wings were not good. As we left the restaurant we noticed none of the lights on the building or parking lot were turned on. Would recommend not stopping here.

I'm sorry if I could get this place's 0 stars I would. I travel a lot for work so I have experienced bad food and excellent food many times. But this restaurant it seems The worst. The steak came out cold The shrimp was cold The broccoli was ice cold. But what makes this experience worse is that we have 2 dinners the same. We heard employees saying how they hate this restaurant. When I asked if there was a cook manager or a store manager I was informed that there was no cook manager and that the store manager was in a back room someplace and they had no clue. I hate to say that Applebee's you failed Springfield and so many ways don't get me started on the overall appearance of the restaurant. Revisited 03/30/24 Service was slow and horrible fries were cold, hamburgers were warm, and the server even forgot our appetite.

The service deteriorated over past years. Came in around 4:10, at 5:30 was still without drinks while restaurant was pretty dead. We left and went to a different restaurant. I have noticed some people at other table left too.

Food decent but 3 people at the bar got their food before me. It took forever
