Applebee's Grill + Bar

Thanks you to your waitress Regina aka Reggie, we had the best time eating dinner! You provided us excellent service.

Took a while to be greeted and seated. Food was ok except for Artichoke Dip. First time ever it was ice cold. Very bad Waitress was very good.

I didn't have any food. Just a few drinks. The bartender did a good job and was very polite. Love the drink prices.

I typically enjoy Applebee's. But, this time was atypical. When our group entered the restaurant. We wanted a seat near the door as one person was having difficulty walking.We were approached by the bartender We started to state why we wanted to sit there. The bartender got pissed and slammed menus around, stating loudly we could sit there but it would be a much longer wait as who told us we could not sit as the seat we selected as no waitress was assigned to that station. So she moved us to the far side of the restaurant. Then, the next two groups who entered Sat at the same table and the table immediately next to it. Overall, the meal was ok. But, getting our check was slow. When we finally got it. I took it to the bar to cash out. The bartender made minimal eye contact. Finally when she could no longer avoid me. She told me she could not cash me out as she did not have our waitress's card. She then proceeded to do "busy work" to not finish the sale. I waited about 10 minutes , and I started to confront her when another person (I believe it was the manager) as me what was going on. I told her I had been waiting 10 minutes to cash out and was being ignored by the bartender. Just then the waitress walked by the "manager" and stated another group had just walked out without paying. The manager just shrugged her shoulders, took my money and headed to the kitchen area to make change. Whatever the reason, she took an excessively long time to return. Handed me by change and left. Knowing I was not impressed. If I was in her position. I would have at least given an obligatory apology 'sorry for the wait' or at least acknowledged we could have done better and ask if for a second chance. But I didn't get anything. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE MANAGER/MANAGEMENT AND SOME OF THE WAIT STAFF. AVOID THIS LOCATION !!!

Paige was great last night we came in and had the all you can eat and she made sure we never were low on drinks and were good on food. 10/10 best service, she deserves a raise!

I had to give at least one star to write a review, notice no other stars were given. Got seated and never got waited on! Sat there for 30 minutes and didn't even get drinks I would stay away from this Applebee's on university and Lockwood, the worst one in Sarasota! To top it off it wasn't even busy!! The bar tender saw us sitting there and didnt even ask us if we'd been helped or go get someone to help us! The one on Clark and Honore is awesome though!

Had a great time. Brought my wife here for a quick meal but had a great bartender named Heather and stayed for the night. Always clean and friendly at this Applebees.
