Applebee's Grill + Bar

I’ve enjoyed Applebee’s time and time again. My kids enjoy it. The food is good. Haven’t had any issues with any service.

3/20/24 5:00 pm, We sat at the bar at 3:30... the bartender was pissy, totally ignored us, until we asked if we could order some beer... About 10 min. Another couple that came in after us, never did get service, & left. We had to catch her to order a 2nd beer.... Had to stop her to order food too (2 salads) Never once did she check on us. Again, we're sitting at the Bar. There was maybe 5 people at the bar. At 5 pm, we had to ask for our check. Horrible Customer Service! We won't go back!

Went there to have food and drinks with my wife. Apparently my wife and I weren't the right ethnicity for the bartender. She was very rude to my wife. My wife was paying for dinner and left her a $5 tip. If it were me I wouldn't have given her anything.

I visited your restaurant yesterday 3/01 at about 430. I was served by a waitress named Jessica. My bill was about $45 and I left a $10 tip. This morning, my bank account showed that instead of the tip being on the bill it was run as a separate Cash App transaction, as if she had written down my card info, didn’t take the tip on the receipt, and instead had it transferred to her via cash app. That’s NOT okay! I didn’t permit her to do that and I have NEVER had that be the way tipping was done at any Applebee’s or restaurant I’ve ever been to. So, I doubt she did it per your policies. This was on top of the fact that was acting strangely the entire meal, going on and on about how awful her week has been and how flaky she feels. I felt empathy for that initially, because I’ve also had a rough go of it these past months, and didn’t think much of it. But to then pull this?? How am I supposed to trust that she isn’t planning to take more money from me? By the way, I canceled the card. So, if that WAS the plan, eff you! And if this IS an Applebee’s policy to do tips via Cash App transfers instead of the way literally every other business does it, I’ll never eat here again.
