Applebee's Grill + Bar

I posted this last week on yelp, but I wanted my opinion to be made very evident to this store. Two Saturdays ago, I had the displeasure of being made to feel uncomfortable during our meal. I was seated near the bar after waiting for a while, but my server was quick and attentive, trying to make it better for us. I come here about once a week to enjoy the happy hour specials with my girls and, as a woman, have noticed a manager who makes weird comments to the bartenders, which I can only categorize as suggestive, as I'm usually at or near the bar ( he's bald and a little tall, looks hispanic, and usually wearing a colored button up so i assume he's a manager). i've also noticed he tends to look the bartenders up and down, or checking them out you could say. it makes me feel uncomfortable as these girls look pretty young, and as a young woman myself, it's only natural that my friends and I would feel on edge. The general energy he brings to the store is incredible negative, as he also tends to stand at the end of the bar and stare at the servers in the restaurant then storm off suddenly. It's gotten so weird, that my friends and I are generally very observant of his behavior. Anyways, in the middle of our meal this past Saturday, we overheard some discourse at the bar where this server was waiting for his drinks , which followed by that manager storming off quickly and a server following him. it sounded like a small argument had happened but everyone else who was standing there stood there confused after he stormed off. We thought he was finally gone so we could relax, but moments later, we began to hear shouting coming from the kitchen, which made me and my friends VERY uncomfortable, we go to Applebee's to eat and laugh and have fun?? Not hear a poor server get verbally abused for, honestly, to us, nothing. a couple minutes later after we left, we witnessed that same sever standing by the ramp that leads to the exit with his eyes puffy and teary eyed, speaking to another server. this made me feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable as we realized that the manager had screamed at this server and made him cry. what kind of a restaurant is this? where the managers are screaming at their staff when the restaurant is full and making them cry? especially loud enough to where people can hear you? i'll be contacting corporate and asking them what they plan to do about this creepy and aggressive manager. Or, you're just loosing a customer. if you go here, beware of this guy.

Waitress Carmen , was great , food was good , drinks were lousy, barely any liquor in them , they felt like soft drinks, the margaritas , the Long island , the old fashion . Terrible. Restaurant was under staff , they need to bring the buss boys and food runners , to move tables around, the place has a lot of empty tables . The bar needs more life . Food prices are good , drinks sucks .

Their service was horrible, very unattentive. Waiters, and when they finally did bring us our food, their plates were dirty. I did not have mashed potatoes. Nor did my date, but yet there was mashed potatoes on the bottom of my plate terrible place. Do not recommend. Save your time save your money.Go somewhere else maybe chili's

We ate at Applebee’s Restaurant in Chatsworth for the first time today. We had the 2 for $25.00 special. Without reservation of any kind, the food, service, portion size and price were excellent. The meat, potatoes and broccoli were all hot & the garden salad was fresh, crisp and delightful. We will definitely go back and recommend to others. This was a win win for us as so many other restaurants have raised prices and reduced portions and therefore Applebees is our new go to place even though we have to drive a little farther!

I was excited to have a lovely dinner with the family.The server only came to our table once didn't get us no refills on our drinks and they didn't even give us silverware to begin with.The server was not friendly at all. The worst experience I've ever had

The service was not good. Waited to order waited for our food to come out. The person that took our order we ordered steaks cook differently. An expediter delivered the food and didn’t even know what was or medium on the steaks. The dessert was very good.

Great restaurant. I come here pretty often here and there you get a rude server but overall great place to chill and eat!! Happy hour is fire
