Antojitos Esmeralda

My family loves this place, the soups, the tacos, the tostadas, everything is very fresh and delicious. We know that we can go to Esmeralda anytime any day and we can find something in the menu that will make our day. Just delicious and authentic. We have eat in and to go and the quality and perfection of each plate is always maintained. The picture is from my last visit with a To go order. Best streak sandwich ever!!!

This used to be my favorite taco spot but lately, the quality just isn't there. I ordered 6 carne asada tacos; the meat was so dry and lacked flavor, and the texture didn't even resemble carne asada. Sadly, I couldn't finish my meal. I'm so disappointed because their tacos were the best in the area. Not sure if they changed cooks but hopefully they see this review and rectify the issue.

Update: Just reiterating how addicted we are to their food! Always so fresh and "delicious" just does not do it justice. We get food here at least once a week and rotate between tacos, tamale, gordita and torta cubana. My husband also had the enchilada verde when we ate in and he loved it. I was born and raised in Malaysia so I am extremely picky with food (this is a huge understatement) but Antojitos is my number one Latin restaurant in all the 17 years I've been here in the USA. The staff is also extremely friendly and always has a smile on their face. Keep up the amazing job! Prior review: We are hooked! So thankful for places like Antojitos that make it affordable to eat food like your grandma made. We always get the chicken and pork tamales, tacos and chicken/carne asada gorditas. Consistently delicious, every time. We've ate in, ordered delivery and gotten takeout. No complaints from us for 2 years now.
