Antojitos Colombianos Restaurant

What a great experience! Food flavor was very authentic, good portions, great service. We had chicharrón, arepas, empanadas, cazuela de fríjoles, patacón, maduro and arróz con leche. After full bellies we were surprised with a couple of tinticos (black coffe) that really hit the spot. I'm glad we picked this place while visiting this area in California. Will definitely be back. Parking: Parking is limited but plenty of adjacent streets to park.

We been coming to this place for years. Since the previous location. The food has always been decent. The service average. However this time around we did not feel too welcome. As I walked in at 6:25 to have dinner with my husband and 2 small children, the cook looked right at me then at his watch and shook his head. Our server had not been seen for a bit so my husband asked the older lady for help. She responded that she was busy doing something else. Did not offer to call our server and went on about her business. Not happy with this service at all.

The food was pretty good but one thing that I am really mad about is - I was here with a group and they didn't tell us that the gratuity was included in the bill and also didn't hand us the bill until after we already paid and included a second tip.This seemed very shady and borderline criminal.

Decided it's time to try different cuisine. Never tried Columbian food. Why not? Will it be like Peruvian food? Cuban? Only one way to find out. We ordered the empanadas. Love it! Best empanadas ever, and I've had quite a few different types. Instead of the standard flour based crust/pastry, it was made with corn. The crunchy texture was to die for The filling was so tasty, juicy and delicious. We also ordered the bandeja paisa and fried snapper. They were both so good. The service was also superb. We will definitely be back.
