Anthony's has become a favorite place for celebrations in our family. We love the lake with the fountains and lights. We love to sit outside, along the water. I had their lobster tail and sirloin steak. Both were cooked perfectly. My companions had the salmon, shrimp, shark combo. I think it's the Bay Combo. The food and service was excellent. I didn't care for the dinner salad. The romaine lettuce leaves were heavy and coarse. I've never seen romaine lettuce like this. I didn'treally want the salad, so I didn't eat much of it. We enjoyed sharing a bowl of their white clam chowder between 3 people and then their appetizer of crispy brussel sprouts. Anthony's is still family owned and operated with an almost 80 year history in San Diego. This location in La Mesa is the last remaining. We plan to eat there again soon.
Love the vibe at Anthony's. Food is excellent. Staff are polite and fast. 😊
This is a nice restaurant on I-8 between La Mesa and El Cajon. It has a small lake with outdoor dining alongside a pleasant indoor dining area. Our family has always enjoyed going there for good seafood, but last week the food was rather pricy and unexceptional. The staff and service are still good and the atmosphere is great. Here's hoping they will improve and get back to the excellent place it used to be.
Dog friendly patio and great relaxing atmosphere
A nice enjoyable atmosphere.
Another scrumptious meal enjoyed along the scenic lake. Still my favorite after 38+ years! Best fish in San Diego county! So delicious! Excellent service. Indoor seating with floor to ceiling windows along the lake. Large lakeside outdoor seating and dog friendly. Anthony's really came through during the pandemic shutdown of indoor seating by maximizing their outdoor seating. They even allowed seating on the bocce ball court when they crowded.
Really good clamshowder!!!
Excellent fish and chips, great atmosphere
Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! The service was great and the outdoor seating was perfect for dining with young children!
