Absolutely delicious food!!!! We travel from Lake City just to eat there. When you walk in, the staff is welcoming and friendly. Our goal is to try everything on the menu. The Manager who is a male just makes you feel at home and he makes sure you have everything you need.

Has the best soul food in town

Southern food, like your Mom or grandmother prepared. The food was well seasoned and tasty. The red velvet cake, was excellent!!! Will definitely go back. Vegetarian options: Cabbage, Collard greens, Yams, Field pies

Hands down…best soul food in the city!! My family & I are natives of Jacksonville, but we moved away years ago & it has been years since I ate at Annie Rue’s. I went in today & it was all that I remembered & more. The portion size is well worth every penny & you can just taste the love all through this food for the soul. A special mention…that seafood dressing, my God, it’s umm umm GOOD!! It was so good, my husband had me go back & purchase a large side to take and eat on our drive back to south FL. The staff is so friendly & welcoming, it just feels like you are getting at plate at your grandma’s house, laughing & chatting with your aunties. I can’t hardly wait to visit Jacksonville again just to make a stop by to get my family & I some good down home soul food! 5-star all around!
