Angel Food & Fun has been a favorite spot for us in the Alberta neighborhood, a hidden gem we visit every time we're in town. However, our recent experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered 18 tacos, a burrito, and carne asada fries for take out, but the quality of the food was unacceptable. We only took it down the block so it’s not like we traveled across town with the food and it didn’t sit on the counter long waiting for a delivery driver or anything like that so it should have been fresh. The meat was riddled with fat pieces, cartilage, and was overly chewy and gummy. We encountered random hard and inedible pieces in the meat that posed a choking hazard. Despite requesting onions on the side, they were still added to the tacos. The tortillas seemed old and hard, particularly on the ends, and the carne asada fries had stale french fries along with that weird gummy, hard, meat (I hope it’s meat? It was questionable lol) The very few limes that were provided were so hard and old they could have broken a window. This experience was a far cry from the delicious meals we've had before. We paid $100 plus tip, and I feel like I could have thrown that money away and been happier than dealing with the disappointment and grossness of the food. I don’t even want my money back. Too many problems to go over. Hopefully they can put that towards better quality food for other people who are unfortunate enough to stumble in this now questionable establishment.
