Andy's Frozen Custard

My daughter's new favorite.

I recently met the owner, and he was so incredibly friendly. I didn’t realize that ice cream could taste this good.

Wanted to try Andy’s for the first time with my family. I went and saw they had mint chocolate chip and chocolate cookie dough. I decided I wanted the chocolate chip and asked the girl at the window for it in a waffle cone. She told me only chocolate and vanilla ice cream can go in a waffle cone, I said “oh okay that’s fine, can I just have the mint chocolate chip ice cream instead”. She said no and said they only have chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I was confused by this and said okay then how about just the chocolate chip cookie dough in a cup. She then said no again, and said they do not have ice cream. At this point I realized the miscommunication was that I was saying ice cream when I meant to say custard, but she was being rude and refused to help me with learning the menu, I tried asking for the cookie dough again- and she said no?? This confused me even more because I didn’t say ice cream anymore realizing my mistake, but she kept saying no to everything I asked for. At this point I was a bit embarrassed and confused, so I told her nevermind and didn’t end up getting anything. She wasn’t helpful at all, and it was like she was trying to make me feel dumb for not knowing the menu- but again, it was my first time. A simple nice correction of telling me to say custard instead of ice cream could’ve fixed it, but instead she gave me sarcasm. This was a short dark haired girl with freckles. I won’t be coming back.

Love that I have an Andy’s 35 mins away. Now we need one in Maryville. I really missed having lots of Andy’s close by when we moved to TN. Glad to see new ones coming!
